A safe, shared community space where people can gather, build community, and access essential services and resources to support strong families.
Located in South Everett, in one of the most populated and diverse areas in Snohomish County the Casino Road community had been asking for one thing for years: a safe, shared community space where people can gather, build community, and access essential services and resources to support strong families.
In response to that need, Connect Casino Road, a collaborative of local stakeholders, decided to remodel an existing complex into a true community hub.
Connect Casino Road was committed to engaging the community in the planning and design of their new facility. As part of the design and community engagement team, Fivedot took part in several large community meetings and helped form the ideas and priorities expressed into a landscape design for the complex’s courtyard.
The new design makes economical use of an existing courtyard but adds more useable space, includes a new artistic trellis to help mark the entry and makes the courtyard into a friendly, vibrant space that will encourage community interaction.
