Design Associate

We are looking for a team member to participate in all aspects of project delivery. The ideal candidate would have strong design and communication skills and be comfortable working on multiple projects at once.

Requirements

  • 1-5 years of experience in a professional design setting
  • Accredited degree in architecture or landscape architecture
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit required.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite required.
  • Proficiency in Sketchup and Lumion preferred
  • Solid understanding of construction detailing

Primary  responsibilities:

  • Provide design and documentation support on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Provide graphic support for presentations, grants and marketing needs

  • Remote work is an option but there will be tasks that require in office or on-site time.

Marketing and Community Organizer:

As a non-traditional architecture firm, Fivedot often drives in a lane between design and advocacy.  As our project types grow, we are looking to expand our ability to support our communities in the most thoughtful and equitable way.

We are looking for a team member to help communicate the ways our work can best support community.  Candidates should have a strong interest in how healthy built environments can make a positive impact in communities and lives and experience in diverse and equitable development.

Requirements:

  • 1-5 years of marking experience (Volunteer experience counts)
  • 1-5 years of community engagement and/or facilitation experience (Volunteer experience counts)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite a plus
  • Proficiency with social media formats

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing language to support the work we do and the work we want
  • Assist in working directly with community to listen, document and implement their voices
  • Assist in targeting projects that would be a good fit for us
