Central Area Home

Central Area Home

location:
Seattle, WA

This was a renovation of a 1950's era home.   An addition to the home created a Northwest facing courtyard making way for a large outdoor livingroom and garden.  What was once clad in white aluminum siding is now clad in vertical cedar.  The interior of the existing home was opened up to become the social space housing the kitchen, dining and living room.  The new addition houses the bedroom wing.  The skylights in the kitchen and dining room bring in plenty of natrual light and a perfect setting for orchids.  The cabinetry and some furniture shown are done by 16th workshop.  The contractor for this project was Hanson Construction.
